* Tegra30: Add generic Tegra30 build supportTom Warren2013-01-16-1/+1
| | | | | | | | This patch adds basic Tegra30 (T30) build support - no specific board is targeted. Signed-off-by: Tom Warren <twarren@nvidia.com> Reviewed-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* tegra20: enable SPL for tegra20 boardsAllen Martin2012-09-01-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Add SPL options to tegra20 config files and enable SPL build for tegra20 boards. Also remove redundant code from u-boot that is not contained in SPL. * omap4/5/am33xx: Make lowlevel_init available to all armv7 platformsTom Rini2012-09-01-1/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Make the lowlevel_init function that these platforms have which just sets up the stack and calls a C function available to all armv7 platforms. As part of this we change some of the macros that are used to be more clear. Previously (except for am335x evm) we had been setting CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to a series of new defines that are equivalent to simply referencing NON_SECURE_SRAM_END. On am335x evm we should have been doing this initially and do now. Cc: Sricharan R <r.sricharan@ti.com> Tested-by: Allen Martin <amartin@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>

* armv7: include armv7/cpu.c in SPL buildAneesh V2011-12-06-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | This allows SPL to have default implementation of save_boot_params(), useful for SoCs that do not intend to override this default implementation Cc: Albert Aribaud <albert.u.boot@aribaud.net> Signed-off-by: Aneesh V <aneesh@ti.com>
* omap: add basic SPL supportAneesh V2011-08-03-1/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | - Provide alternate implementations of board_init_f() board_init_r() for OMAP spl. - Provide linker script - Initialize global data - Add serial console support - Update CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE to allow for SPL's bss and move it to board config header from config.mk Signed-off-by: Aneesh V <aneesh@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Sandeep Paulraj <s-paulraj@ti.com>
* armv7: cache maintenance operations for armv7Aneesh V2011-07-04-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Add a framework for layered cache maintenance - separate out SOC specific outer cache maintenance from maintenance of caches known to CPU - Add generic ARMv7 cache maintenance operations that affect all caches known to ARMv7 CPUs. For instance in Cortex-A8 these opertions will affect both L1 and L2 caches. In Cortex-A9 these will affect only L1 cache - D-cache operations supported: - Invalidate entire D-cache - Invalidate D-cache range - Flush(clean & invalidate) entire D-cache - Flush D-cache range - I-cache operations supported: - Invalidate entire I-cache - Add maintenance functions for TLB, branch predictor array etc. - Enable -march=armv7-a so that armv7 assembly instructions can be used Signed-off-by: Aneesh V <aneesh@ti.com>
* Switch from archive libraries to partial linkingSebastien Carlier2010-11-17-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Before this commit, weak symbols were not overridden by non-weak symbols found in archive libraries when linking with recent versions of binutils. As stated in the System V ABI, "the link editor does not extract archive members to resolve undefined weak symbols". This commit changes all Makefiles to use partial linking (ld -r) instead of creating library archives, which forces all symbols to participate in linking, allowing non-weak symbols to override weak symbols as intended. This approach is also used by Linux, from which the gmake function cmd_link_o_target (defined in config.mk and used in all Makefiles) is inspired. The name of each former library archive is preserved except for extensions which change from ".a" to ".o". This commit updates references accordingly where needed, in particular in some linker scripts. This commit reveals board configurations that exclude some features but include source files that depend these disabled features in the build, resulting in undefined symbols. Known such cases include: - disabling CMD_NET but not CMD_NFS; - enabling CONFIG_OF_LIBFDT but not CONFIG_QE. Signed-off-by: Sebastien Carlier <sebastien.carlier@gmail.com>
* ARM: Use syslib functions for all CORTEXA8Stefano Babic2010-09-29-1/+2
| | | | | | | | The OMAP3 cpu directory contains a syslib file with some utilities that can be shared by all targets using arm cortexa8 processors, not only OMAP. Signed-off-by: Stefano Babic <sbabic@denx.de>
* ARM: Rename arch/arm/cpu/arm_cortexa8 to armv7Steve Sakoman2010-07-05-0/+47
The purpose of this patch is to prepare for adding the OMAP4 architecture, which is Cortex A9 Cortex A8 and A9 both belong to the armv7 architecture, hence the name change. The two architectures are similar enough that substantial code can be shared.
