From a89c33db96a1e55319a286dd4c3c05ca64ac6bfd Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Wolfgang Denk Date: Sun, 24 May 2009 17:06:54 +0200 Subject: General help message cleanup Many of the help messages were not really helpful; for example, many commands that take no arguments would not print a correct synopsis line, but "No additional help available." which is not exactly wrong, but not helpful either. Commit ``Make "usage" messages more helpful.'' changed this partially. But it also became clear that lots of "Usage" and "Help" messages (fields "usage" and "help" in struct cmd_tbl_s respective) were actually redundant. This patch cleans this up - for example: Before: => help dtt dtt - Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt - Read temperature from digital thermometer and thermostat. After: => help dtt dtt - Read temperature from Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk --- common/cmd_mii.c | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) (limited to 'common/cmd_mii.c') diff --git a/common/cmd_mii.c b/common/cmd_mii.c index d70031a..65e13c3 100644 --- a/common/cmd_mii.c +++ b/common/cmd_mii.c @@ -460,5 +460,5 @@ U_BOOT_CMD( "mii read - read MII PHY register \n" "mii write - write MII PHY register \n" "mii dump - pretty-print (0-5 only)\n" - "Addr and/or reg may be ranges, e.g. 2-7.\n" + "Addr and/or reg may be ranges, e.g. 2-7." ); -- cgit v1.1
