From a89c33db96a1e55319a286dd4c3c05ca64ac6bfd Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Wolfgang Denk Date: Sun, 24 May 2009 17:06:54 +0200 Subject: General help message cleanup Many of the help messages were not really helpful; for example, many commands that take no arguments would not print a correct synopsis line, but "No additional help available." which is not exactly wrong, but not helpful either. Commit ``Make "usage" messages more helpful.'' changed this partially. But it also became clear that lots of "Usage" and "Help" messages (fields "usage" and "help" in struct cmd_tbl_s respective) were actually redundant. This patch cleans this up - for example: Before: => help dtt dtt - Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt - Read temperature from digital thermometer and thermostat. After: => help dtt dtt - Read temperature from Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk --- common/cmd_boot.c | 4 ++-- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) (limited to 'common/cmd_boot.c') diff --git a/common/cmd_boot.c b/common/cmd_boot.c index efc1a02..bfc1db2 100644 --- a/common/cmd_boot.c +++ b/common/cmd_boot.c @@ -66,7 +66,7 @@ U_BOOT_CMD( go, CONFIG_SYS_MAXARGS, 1, do_go, "start application at address 'addr'", "addr [arg ...]\n - start application at address 'addr'\n" - " passing 'arg' as arguments\n" + " passing 'arg' as arguments" ); extern int do_reset (cmd_tbl_t *cmdtp, int flag, int argc, char *argv[]); @@ -74,5 +74,5 @@ extern int do_reset (cmd_tbl_t *cmdtp, int flag, int argc, char *argv[]); U_BOOT_CMD( reset, 1, 0, do_reset, "Perform RESET of the CPU", - NULL + "" ); -- cgit v1.1
