* spl: saveenv: adding saveenv support in SPLB, Ravi2016-10-08-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | By default saveenv option is not supported for SPL. This patch enable the support for save environment variable for SPL build. Enable save environment support in SPL after setenv. By default the saveenv option is not provided in SPL, but some boards need this support in 'Falcon' boot, where SPL need to boot from different images based on environment variable set by OS. For example OS may set "reboot_image" environment variable to "recovery" inorder to boot recovery image by SPL. The SPL read "reboot_image" and act accordingly and change the reboot_image to default mode using setenv and save the environemnt. * cmd: fdt: add fdt overlay application subcommandMaxime Ripard2016-08-20-7/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The device tree overlays are a good way to deal with user-modifyable boards or boards with some kind of an expansion mechanism where we can easily plug new board in (like the BBB or the raspberry pi). However, so far, the usual mechanism to deal with it was to have in Linux some driver detecting the expansion boards plugged in and then request these overlays using the firmware interface. That works in most cases, but in some cases, you might want to have the overlays applied before the userspace comes in. Either because the new board requires some kind of an early initialization, or because your root filesystem is accessed through that expansion board. The easiest solution in such a case is to simply have the component before Linux applying that overlay, removing all these drawbacks. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some code may want to read reg values from DT, but from nodes that aren't associated with DM devices, so using dev_get_addr_index() isn't appropriate. In this case, fdtdec_get_addr_size_*() are the functions to use. However, "translation" (via the chain of ranges properties in parent nodes) may still be desirable. * rsa: Fix return value and masked errormario.six@gdsys.cc2016-07-22-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When signing images, we repeatedly call fit_add_file_data() with successively increasing size values to include the keys in the DTB. Unfortunately, if large keys are used (such as 4096 bit RSA keys), this process fails sometimes, and mkimage needs to be called repeatedly to integrate the keys into the DTB. This is because fit_add_file_data actually returns the wrong error code, and the loop terminates prematurely, instead of trying again with a larger size value. This patch corrects the return value by fixing the return value of fdt_add_bignum, fixes a case where an error is masked by a unconditional setting of a return value variable, and also removes a error message, which is misleading, since we actually allow the function to fail. A (hopefully helpful) comment is also added to explain the lack of error message. This is probably related to 1152a05 ("tools: Correct error handling in fit_image_process_hash()") and the corresponding error reported here: https://www.mail-archive.com/u-boot@lists.denx.de/msg217417.html Signed-off-by: Mario Six <mario.six@gdsys.cc>
