* config: remove platform CONFIG_SYS_HZ definition part 2/2Rob Herring2013-11-04-2/+0
| | | | | | Remove platform CONFIG_SYS_HZ definition for configs a-z*. Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <rob.herring@calxeda.com>
* config: Add a default CONFIG_SYS_PROMPTRob Herring2013-11-04-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The definitions for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT are varied with little reason other than to display the board name. Over half the definitions are "==> ", so make this the default. The rest of the boards remain unchanged to avoid breaking any external scripts expecting a certain prompt. * powerpc: cpm2 boards: update fcc register logicMike Frysinger2011-10-17-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | In the recent dropping of !NET_MULTI code (commit e2a53458a7ab37523304), I misread the logic in include/net.h. Some of it was used by NET_MULTI code as glue between the multi/non-multi worlds for cpm2 boards. Rather than restore the block of code, push the logic to the board config headers where it all belongs. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated valueWolfgang Denk2010-10-26-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files. Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file. No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro definitions as well. * Rename CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZEWolfgang Denk2010-10-26-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END was a misnomer as it suggests this might be some end address; to make the meaning more clear we rename it into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE No other code changes are performed in this patch, only minor editing of white space (due to the changed length) and the comments was done, where noticed. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. * powerpc: Cleanup BOOTFLAG_* referencesPeter Tyser2010-10-18-8/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Now that warm booting is not supported, there isn't a need for the BOOTFLAG_COLD and BOOTFLAG_WARM defines, so remove them. Note that this change makes the board info bd_bootflags field useless. It will always be set to 0, but we leave it around so that we don't break the board info structure that some OSes are expecting to be passed from U-Boot. * Makefile: move all Power Architecture boards into boards.cfgWolfgang Denk2010-10-18-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Clean up Makefile, and drop a lot of the config.mk files on the way. We now also automatically pick all boards that are listed in boards.cfg (and with all configurations), so we can drop the redundant entries from MAKEALL to avoid building these twice. * Rename TEXT_BASE into CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASEWolfgang Denk2010-10-18-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | The change is currently needed to be able to remove the board configuration scripting from the top level Makefile and replace it by a simple, table driven script. Moving this configuration setting into the "CONFIG_*" name space is also desirable because it is needed if we ever should move forward to a Kconfig driven configuration system. * Separate mtdparts command from jffs2Stefan Roese2009-03-20-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Currently the mtdparts commands are included in the jffs2 command support. This doesn't make sense anymore since other commands (e.g. UBI) use this infrastructure as well now. This patch separates the mtdparts commands from the jffs2 commands making it possible to only select mtdparts when no JFFS2 support is needed. * TQM8xx[LM]: Fix broken environment alignment.Wolfgang Denk2007-09-16-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With recent toolchains, the environment sectors were no longer aligned to sector boundaries. The reason was a combination of two bugs: 1) common/environment.c assumed that CONFIG_TQM8xxL would be defined for all TQM8xxL and TQM8xxM boards. But "include/common.h", where this gets defined, is not included here (and cannot be included without causing lots of problems). Added a new #define CFG_USE_PPCENV for all boards which really want to put the environment is a ".ppcenv" section. 2) The linker scripts just include environment.o, silently assuming that the objects in that file are really in the order in which they are coded in the C file, i. e. "environment" first, then "redundand_environment", and "env_size" last. However, current toolchains (GCC-4.x) reorder the objects, causing the environment data not to start on a flash sector boundary: Instead of: we got: 40008000 T environment 40008000 T env_size 4000c000 T redundand_environment 40008004 T redundand_environment 40010000 T env_size 4000c004 T environment Note: this patch fixes just the first part, and cures the alignment problem by making sure that "env_size" gets placed correctly. However, we still have a potential issue because primary and redundant environment sectors are actually swapped, i. e. we have now: 40008000 T redundand_environment 4000c000 T environment 40010000 T env_size This shall be fixed in the next version. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Hymod board database mods: add "who" field and new xilinx chip types - provide new "init_cmd_timeout()" function so code external to "common/main.c" can use the "reset_cmd_timeout()" function before entering the main loop - add DTT support for adm1021 (new file dtt/adm1021.c; config slightly different. see include/configs/hymod.h for an example (requires CONFIG_DTT_ADM1021, CONFIG_DTT_SENSORS, and CFG_DTT_ADM1021 defined) - add new "eeprom_probe()" function which has similar args and behaves in a similar way to "eeprom_read()" etc. - add 8260 FCC ethernet loopback code (new "eth_loopback_test()" function which is enabled by defining CONFIG_ETHER_LOOPBACK_TEST) - gdbtools copyright update - ensure that set_msr() executes the "sync" and "isync" instructions after the "mtmsr" instruction in cpu/mpc8260/interrupts.c - 8260 I/O ports fix: Open Drain should be set last when configuring - add SIU IRQ defines for 8260 - allow LDSCRIPT override and OBJCFLAGS initialization: change to config.mk to allow board configurations to override the GNU linker script, selected via the LDSCRIPT, make variable, and to give an initial value to the OBJCFLAGS make variable - 8260 i2c enhancement: o correctly extends the timeout depending on the size of all queued messages for both transmit and receive o will not continue with receive if transmit times out o ensures that the error callback is done for all queued tx and rx messages o correctly detects both tx and rx timeouts, only delivers one to the callback, and does not overwrite an earlier error o logic in i2c_probe now correct - add "vprintf()" function so that "panic()" function can be technically correct - many Hymod board changes
