* config: remove platform CONFIG_SYS_HZ definition part 2/2Rob Herring2013-11-04-1/+0
| | | | | | Remove platform CONFIG_SYS_HZ definition for configs a-z*. Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <rob.herring@calxeda.com>
* config: Add a default CONFIG_SYS_PROMPTRob Herring2013-11-04-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The definitions for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT are varied with little reason other than to display the board name. Over half the definitions are "==> ", so make this the default. The rest of the boards remain unchanged to avoid breaking any external scripts expecting a certain prompt. * Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated valueWolfgang Denk2010-10-26-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files. Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file. No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro definitions as well. * Rename CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZEWolfgang Denk2010-10-26-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END was a misnomer as it suggests this might be some end address; to make the meaning more clear we rename it into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE No other code changes are performed in this patch, only minor editing of white space (due to the changed length) and the comments was done, where noticed. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. * powerpc: Cleanup BOOTFLAG_* referencesPeter Tyser2010-10-18-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Now that warm booting is not supported, there isn't a need for the BOOTFLAG_COLD and BOOTFLAG_WARM defines, so remove them. Note that this change makes the board info bd_bootflags field useless. It will always be set to 0, but we leave it around so that we don't break the board info structure that some OSes are expecting to be passed from U-Boot. * Makefile: move all Power Architecture boards into boards.cfgWolfgang Denk2010-10-18-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Clean up Makefile, and drop a lot of the config.mk files on the way. We now also automatically pick all boards that are listed in boards.cfg (and with all configurations), so we can drop the redundant entries from MAKEALL to avoid building these twice. * Rename TEXT_BASE into CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASEWolfgang Denk2010-10-18-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | The change is currently needed to be able to remove the board configuration scripting from the top level Makefile and replace it by a simple, table driven script. Moving this configuration setting into the "CONFIG_*" name space is also desirable because it is needed if we ever should move forward to a Kconfig driven configuration system. * mtd: MTD related config header changes (mtdparts command)Stefan Roese2009-06-12-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | By changing the cmd_mtdparts to only use the MTD infrastructure and not the direct interface to the CFI NOR FLASH driver we now need to add the MTD infrastructure to all boards using those mtdparts commands. This patch adds those components: CONFIG_MTD_DEVICE (for all FLASH types) plus CONFIG_FLASH_CFI_MTD (for NOR FLASH) To all board maintainers: Please test this on your platforms and report any problems/issues found. * Separate mtdparts command from jffs2Stefan Roese2009-03-20-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Currently the mtdparts commands are included in the jffs2 command support. This doesn't make sense anymore since other commands (e.g. UBI) use this infrastructure as well now. This patch separates the mtdparts commands from the jffs2 commands making it possible to only select mtdparts when no JFFS2 support is needed. * cm1_qp1 -> cm5200: single U-Boot image for modules from the cm5200 family.Bartlomiej Sieka2007-08-03-0/+362
Add the ability for modules from the Schindler cm5200 family to use a single U-Boot image: - rename cm1_qp1 to cm5200 - add run-time module detection - parametrize SDRAM configuration according to the module we are running on Few minor, board-specific fixes included in this patch: - better MAC address handling - updated default environment ('update' command uses +{filesize} now) - improved error messages in the auto-update code - allow booting U-Boot from RAM (CFG_RAMBOOT) Signed-off-by: Grzegorz Bernacki <gjb@semihalf.com> Signed-off-by: Piotr Kruszynski <ppk@semihalf.com> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Sieka <tur@semihalf.com>
