* General help message cleanupWolfgang Denk2009-06-12-3/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Many of the help messages were not really helpful; for example, many commands that take no arguments would not print a correct synopsis line, but "No additional help available." which is not exactly wrong, but not helpful either. Commit ``Make "usage" messages more helpful.'' changed this partially. But it also became clear that lots of "Usage" and "Help" messages (fields "usage" and "help" in struct cmd_tbl_s respective) were actually redundant. This patch cleans this up - for example: Before: => help dtt dtt - Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt - Read temperature from digital thermometer and thermostat. After: => help dtt dtt - Read temperature from Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* fsl_law: Fix bug in calculation of LAW sizingKumar Gala2009-04-04-0/+3
| | | | | | | | In set_ddr_laws() when we determined how much of the size requested to be mapped was covered by the the first LAW we needed to recalculate the size based on what was actually mapped. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* MPC85xx: Add MPC8569 CPU supportHaiying Wang2009-03-30-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | There is a workaround for MPC8569 CPU Errata, which needs to set Bit 13 of LBCR in 4K bootpage. We setup a temp TLB for eLBC controller in bootpage, then invalidate it after LBCR bit 13 is set. * Move ali512x.hGraeme Russ2009-03-20-1/+1
| | | | | | Moved ali512x.h from include/asm-i386/ic/ to /include Signed-off-by: Graeme Russ <graeme.russ at gmail.com>
* mpc85xx: Add support for the P2020Srikanth Srinivasan2009-02-16-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Added various p2020 processor specific details: * SVR for p2020, p2020E * immap updates for LAWs and DDR on p2020 * LAW defines related to p2020 Signed-off-by: Srikanth Srinivasan <srikanth.srinivasan@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Travis Wheatley <Travis.Wheatley@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* Command usage cleanupPeter Tyser2009-01-28-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Remove command name from all command "usage" fields and update common/command.c to display "name - usage" instead of just "usage". Also remove newlines from command usage fields. Signed-off-by: Peter Tyser <ptyser@xes-inc.com>
* Standardize command usage messages with cmd_usage()Peter Tyser2009-01-28-2/+2

* Add support for Maxim's DS4510 I2C devicePeter Tyser2009-01-24-0/+425
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Initial support for the DS4510, a CPU supervisor with integrated EEPROM, SRAM, and 4 programmable non-volatile GPIO pins. The CONFIG_DS4510 define enables support for the device while the CONFIG_CMD_DS4510 define enables the ds4510 command. The additional CONFIG_DS4510_INFO, CONFIG_DS4510_MEM, and CONFIG_DS4510_RST defines add additional sub-commands to the ds4510 command when defined. Signed-off-by: Peter Tyser <ptyser@xes-inc.com>
* fsl_law clear enable before changing.Ed Swarthout2008-10-18-0/+1
| | | | | | | Debug sessions may have left enabled laws. Changing lawbar with an unkown enabled tgtid could cause problems. Signed-off-by: Ed Swarthout <Ed.Swarthout@freescale.com>

* mpc85xx: Add support for the MPC8536Kumar Gala2008-08-27-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | The MPC8536 Adds SDHC and SATA controllers to the PQ3 family. We also have SERDES init code for the 8536. * FSL DDR: Provide a generic set_ddr_laws()Kumar Gala2008-08-27-0/+39
| | | | | | | Provide a helper function that will setup the last available LAWs (upto 2) for DDR. Useful for SPD/dyanmic DDR setting code. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* drivers/misc: Move conditional compilation to MakefileJean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD2008-08-13-16/+3

* FSL LAW: Add new interface to use the last free LAWKumar Gala2008-06-11-0/+19
| | | | | | | | LAWs have the concept of priority so its useful to be able to allocate the lowest (highest number) priority. We will end up using this with the new DDR code. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* FSL LAW: Keep track of LAW allocationsKumar Gala2008-06-11-7/+39
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Make it so we keep track of which LAWs have allocated and provide a function (set_next_law) which can allocate a LAW for us if one is free. In the future we will move to doing more "dynamic" LAW allocation since the majority of users dont really care about what LAW number they are at. Also, add CONFIG_MPC8540 or CONFIG_MPC8560 to those boards which needed them Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Andy Fleming <afleming@freescale.com>
* Big white-space cleanup.Wolfgang Denk2008-05-21-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | This commit gets rid of a huge amount of silly white-space issues. Especially, all sequences of SPACEs followed by TAB characters get removed (unless they appear in print statements). Also remove all embedded "vim:" and "vi:" statements which hide indentation problems. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* 86xx: Add print_laws function to fsl_law.cBecky Bruce2008-01-24-0/+19
| | | | | | | This can be used for debug, and will be used by board code to help implement reginfo. Signed-off-by: Becky Bruce <becky.bruce@freescale.com>
* 85xx: Move LAW init code into CKumar Gala2008-01-16-0/+71
| | | | | | | | | | | Move the initialization of the LAWs into C code and provide an API to allow modification of LAWs after init. Board code is responsible to provide a law_table and num_law_entries. We should be able to use the same code on 86xx as well. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
