* ARMV7: S5P: rename from CONFIG_S5PC1XX to CONFIG_S5PMinkyu Kang2010-08-26-1/+1
| | | | | | | Use the same configuration around S5P SoCs. (s5pc100, s5pc110, s5pc210 and so on) Signed-off-by: Minkyu Kang <mk7.kang@samsung.com>
* cmd_usage(): simplify return code handlingWolfgang Denk2010-07-24-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Lots of code use this construct: cmd_usage(cmdtp); return 1; Change cmd_usage() let it return 1 - then we can replace all these ocurrances by return cmd_usage(cmdtp); This fixes a few places with incorrect return code handling, too. * Make sure that argv[] argument pointers are not modified.Wolfgang Denk2010-07-04-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The hush shell dynamically allocates (and re-allocates) memory for the argument strings in the "char *argv[]" argument vector passed to commands. Any code that modifies these pointers will cause serious corruption of the malloc data structures and crash U-Boot, so make sure the compiler can check that no such modifications are being done by changing the code into "char * const argv[]". This modification is the result of debugging a strange crash caused after adding a new command, which used the following argument processing code which has been working perfectly fine in all Unix systems since version 6 - but not so in U-Boot: int main (int argc, char **argv) { while (--argc > 0 && **++argv == '-') { /* ====> */ while (*++*argv) { switch (**argv) { case 'd': debug++; break; ... default: usage (); } } } ... } The line marked "====>" will corrupt the malloc data structures and usually cause U-Boot to crash when the next command gets executed by the shell. With the modification, the compiler will prevent this with an error: increment of read-only location '*argv' N.B.: The code above can be trivially rewritten like this: while (--argc > 0 && **++argv == '-') { char *arg = *argv; while (*++arg) { switch (*arg) { ... * s5pc1xx: gpio: bug fix at gpio_set_pull functionMinkyu Kang2010-06-14-1/+1
| | | | | | | When set to PULL_NONE, gpio_set_pull function is returned without write the register. This patch fixed it. Signed-off-by: Minkyu Kang <mk7.kang@samsung.com>
* MX31: add accessor function to get a gpioStefano Babic2010-04-30-0/+15
| | | | | | The patch adds an accessor function to get the value of a gpio. Signed-off-by: Stefano Babic <sbabic@denx.de>
* SAMSUNG: make s5p common gpio functionsMinkyu Kang2010-04-30-0/+144
| | | | | | | | Because of s5pc1xx gpio is same as s5p seires SoC, move gpio functions to drvier/gpio/ and modify structure's name from s5pc1xx_ to s5p_. Signed-off-by: Minkyu Kang <mk7.kang@samsung.com>
* add a new AT91 GPIO driverJens Scharsig2010-02-12-0/+215
| | | | | | | | | * add a real AT91 GPIO driver instead of header inline code * resolve the mixing of port and pins * change board config files to use new driver * add macros to gpio to realize backward compatibility Signed-off-by: Jens Scharsig <js_at_ng@scharsoft.de>
* Kirkwood: Upgated licencing for files imported from linux source to GPLv2 or ↵Prafulla Wadaskar2010-01-23-3/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | later These are few files directly imported from Linux kernel source. Those are not modifyed at all ar per strategy. These files contains source with GPLv2 only whereas u-boot expects GPLv2 or latter These files are updated for the same from prior permission from original writes Acked-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@marvell.com> Signed-off-by: Prafulla Wadaskar <prafulla@marvell.com>
* Kirkwood: add Marvell Kirkwood gpio driverDieter Kiermaier2009-07-23-0/+152

* General help message cleanupWolfgang Denk2009-06-12-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Many of the help messages were not really helpful; for example, many commands that take no arguments would not print a correct synopsis line, but "No additional help available." which is not exactly wrong, but not helpful either. Commit ``Make "usage" messages more helpful.'' changed this partially. But it also became clear that lots of "Usage" and "Help" messages (fields "usage" and "help" in struct cmd_tbl_s respective) were actually redundant. This patch cleans this up - for example: Before: => help dtt dtt - Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt - Read temperature from digital thermometer and thermostat. After: => help dtt dtt - Read temperature from Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* i.MX31: add a simple gpio driverGuennadi Liakhovetski2009-02-24-1/+75
| | | | | | | | This is a minimal driver, so far only managing output. It will be used by the mxc_spi.c driver. Signed-off-by: Guennadi Liakhovetski <lg@denx.de> Acked-by: Jean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com>
* Command usage cleanupPeter Tyser2009-01-28-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Remove command name from all command "usage" fields and update common/command.c to display "name - usage" instead of just "usage". Also remove newlines from command usage fields. Signed-off-by: Peter Tyser <ptyser@xes-inc.com>
* Standardize command usage messages with cmd_usage()Peter Tyser2009-01-28-1/+1

* Add support for PCA953x I2C gpio devicesPeter Tyser2008-12-19-0/+274
Initial support for NXP's 4 and 8 bit I2C gpio expanders (eg pca9537, pca9557, etc). The CONFIG_PCA953X define enables support for the devices while the CONFIG_CMD_PCA953X define enables the pca953x command. The CONFIG_CMD_PCA953X_INFO define enables an 'info' sub-command which provides summary information for the given pca953x device. Signed-off-by: Peter Tyser <ptyser@xes-inc.com>
