* net: Move the CMD_NET config to defconfigsJoe Hershberger2015-06-01-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This also selects CONFIG_NET for any CONFIG_CMD_NET board. Remove the imx default for CONFIG_NET. This moves the config that was defined by 60296a8 (commands: add more command entries in Kconfig). Signed-off-by: Joe Hershberger <joe.hershberger@ni.com>
* Clean all defconfigs with savedefconfigJoe Hershberger2015-05-12-7/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to reduce merge conflicts and to maintain the simplest possible defconfig files, we should be using the savedefconfig feature of Kconfig every time a new feature is added. This keeps the defconfig settings to a minimum (only those things not default) and keeps them in the same order as the Kconfig options. * x86: Enable multi-core init for Minnowboard MAXSimon Glass2015-04-30-0/+4
| | | | | | | | Enable the CPU uclass and Simple Firmware interface for Minnowbaord MAX. This enables multi-core support in Linux. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
* x86: Kconfig: Remove deprecated CONFIG_SYS_EXTRA_OPTIONSBin Meng2015-04-29-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | Currently all x86 boards still use CONFIG_SYS_EXTRA_OPTIONS to define the text base address. Since it is deprecated, just remove it and use CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE directly. Signed-off-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* x86: Kconfig: Divide the target selection to vendor/modelBin Meng2015-04-29-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Let arch/x86/Kconfig prompt board vendor first, then select the board model under that vendor. This way arch/x86/Kconfig only needs concern board vendor and leave the supported target list to board/<vendor>/Kconfig. * x86: minnowmax: Remove CONFIG_VIDEO_X86 in the defconfigBin Meng2015-04-29-1/+0
| | | | | | | CONFIG_VIDEO_X86 has been replaced by CONFIG_VIDEO_VESA. Signed-off-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* serial: Support an early UART for debuggingSimon Glass2015-02-19-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This came up in a discussion on the mailing list here: https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/384613/ My concerns at the time were: - it doesn't need to be written in assembler - it doesn't need to be ARM-specific This patch provides a possible alternative. It works by allowing any serial driver to export one init function and provide a putc() function. These can be used to output debug data before the real serial driver is available. This implementation does not depend on driver model, and it is possible for it to operate without a stack on some architectures (e.g. PowerPC, ARM). It provides the same features as the ARM-specific debug.S but with more UART and architecture support. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* x86: Add support for Intel Minnowboard MaxSimon Glass2015-02-06-0/+13
This is a relatively low-cost x86 board in a small form factor. The main peripherals are uSD, USB, HDMI, Ethernet and SATA. It uses an Atom 3800 series CPU. So far only the dual core 2GB variant is supported. This uses the existing FSP support. Binary blobs are required to make this board work. The microcode update is included as a patch (all 3000 lines of it).
