* ARM: Default to using optimized memset and memcpy routinesTom Rini2017-01-20-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We have long had available optimized versions of the memset and memcpy functions that are borrowed from the Linux kernel. We should use these in normal conditions as the speed wins in many workflows outweigh the relatively minor size increase. However, we have a number of places where we're simply too close to size limits in SPL and must be able to make the size vs performance trade-off in those cases. * mmc: complete unfinished move of CONFIG_MMCMasahiro Yamada2016-12-29-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit 7a777f6d6f35 ("mmc: Add generic Kconfig option") created a Kconfig entry for this option without any actual moves, then commit 44c798799f66 ("sunxi: Use Kconfig CONFIG_MMC") moved instances only for SUNXI. We generally do not like such partial moves. This kind of work is automated by tools/moveconfig.py, so it is pretty easy to complete this move. I am adding "default ARM || PPC || SANDBOX" (suggested by Tom). This shortens the configs and will ease new board porting. This commit was created as follows: [1] Edit Kconfig (remove the "depends on", add the "default", copy the prompt and help message from Linux) [2] Run 'tools/moveconfig.py -y -s -r HEAD MMC' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com> Reviewed-by: Jaehoon Chung <jh80.chung@samsung.com>

* dfu: Migrate to KconfigTom Rini2016-09-27-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Introduce a hidden USB_FUNCTION_DFU Kconfig option and select it for CMD_DFU (as we must have the DFU command enabled to do anything DFU). Make all of the entries in drivers/dfu/Kconfig depend on CMD_DFU and add options for all of the back end choices that DFU can make use of. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The description was borrowed from kernel. "tristate" type was changed to "bool" (I believe we don't support modules for u-boot yet, right?). CONFIG_USB_GADGET requires CONFIG_USB to be defined too, so add it along as well. * kconfig: add config option for shell promptNikita Kiryanov2015-08-13-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add option to set shell prompt string from menuconfig and migrate boards globally. The migration is done as follows: - Boards that explicitly and unconditionally set CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT had the entry moved to their defconfig files. - Boards that defined some kind of #ifdef logic which selects the CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT (for example qemu-mips) got an #undef CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT right before the #ifdef logic and were left alone. - This change forces CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT to be a per board decision, and thus CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT was removed from all <soc>_common.h and <arch>_common.h files. This results in a streamlined default value across platforms, and includes the following files: spear-common, sunxi-common, mv-common, ti_armv7_common, tegra-common, at91-sama5_common, and zynq-common. - Boards that relied on <arch/soc>_common.h values of CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT were not updated in their respective defconfig files under the assumption that since they did not explicitly define a value, they're fine with whatever the default is. - On the other hand, boards that relied on a value defined in some <boards>_common.h file such as woodburn_common, rpi-common, bur_am335x_common, ls2085a_common, siemens_am33x_common, and omap3_evm_common, had their values moved to the respective defconfig files. - The define V_PROMPT was removed, since it is not used anywhere except for assigning a value for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT. * Clean all defconfigs with savedefconfigJoe Hershberger2015-05-12-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to reduce merge conflicts and to maintain the simplest possible defconfig files, we should be using the savedefconfig feature of Kconfig every time a new feature is added. * kconfig: remove meaningless prefixes in defconfig filesMasahiro Yamada2015-03-15-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit e02ee2548afe (kconfig: switch to single .config configuration), the prefixes in defconfig files such as "+S:", "+ST:", etc., are meaningless. This commit was generated by the following command: find configs -name '*_defconfig' | xargs sed -i 's/^+*S*T*://' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>
* ARM: at91: move board select menu and common settingsMasahiro Yamada2015-02-21-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The board select menu in arch/arm/Kconfig is still big. To slim down it, this commit moves AT91 boards to arch/arm/mach-at91/Kconfig. Also, consolidate "config SYS_SOC" in each board Kconfig. The Kconfig files under board/ directory were modified with the following command: find board -name Kconfig | xargs sed -i -e ' /config SYS_SOC/ { N /default "at91"/ { N d } } ' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Acked-by: Andreas Bießmann <andreas.devel@googlemail.co>
* arm, spl, at91: add spl support for the corvus boardHeiko Schocher2014-11-17-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | replaces the at91bootstrap code with SPL code. make the spl image with: ./tools/mkimage -T atmelimage -d spl/u-boot-spl.bin spl/boot.bin this writes the length of the spl image into the 6th execption vector. * kconfig: add board Kconfig and defconfig filesMasahiro Yamada2014-07-30-0/+3
This commit adds: - arch/${ARCH}/Kconfig provide a menu to select target boards - board/${VENDOR}/${BOARD}/Kconfig or board/${BOARD}/Kconfig set CONFIG macros to the appropriate values for each board - configs/${TARGET_BOARD}_defconfig default setting of each board (This commit was automatically generated by a conversion script based on boards.cfg) In Linux Kernel, defconfig files are located under arch/${ARCH}/configs/ directory. It works in Linux Kernel since ARCH is always given from the command line for cross compile. But in U-Boot, ARCH is not given from the command line. Which means we cannot know ARCH until the board configuration is done. That is why all the "*_defconfig" files should be gathered into a single directory ./configs/.
