* fastboot: sparse: implement reserve()Steve Rae2016-06-27-0/+20
| | | | | | | | | | In order to process the CHUNK_TYPE_DONT_CARE properly, there is a requirement to be able to 'reserve' a specified number of blocks in the storage media. Because of the special handling of "bad blocks" in NAND devices, this is implemented in a storage abstraction function. * fastboot: sparse: resync common/image-sparse.c (part 2)Steve Rae2016-06-27-23/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - update fastboot_okay() and fastboot_fail() This file originally came from upstream code. While retaining the storage abstraction feature, this is the second set of the changes required to resync with the cmd_flash_mmc_sparse_img() in the file aboot.c from https://us.codeaurora.org/cgit/quic/la/kernel/lk/plain/app/aboot/aboot.c?h=LE.BR.1.2.1 Signed-off-by: Steve Rae <srae@broadcom.com>

* fastboot: sparse: remove session-id logicSteve Rae2016-06-27-2/+2
| | | | | | | This "session-id" alogrithm is not required, and currently corrupts the stored image whenever more the one "session" is required. Signed-off-by: Steve Rae <srae@broadcom.com>
* common: fb_nand: won't compileSergey Kubushyn2016-06-19-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Somehow this got overlooked when getting rid of nand_info. Small patch, won't affect anything else, no reason to wait for the next cycle. Signed-off-by: Sergey Kubushyn <ksi@koi8.net>
* nand: Embed mtd_info in struct nand_chipScott Wood2016-06-03-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | nand_info[] is now an array of pointers, with the actual mtd_info instance embedded in struct nand_chip. This is in preparation for syncing the NAND code with Linux 4.6, which makes the same change to struct nand_chip. It's in a separate commit due to the large amount of changes required to accommodate the change to nand_info[]. Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <oss@buserror.net>
* mtd: nand: Remove nand_info_t typedefScott Wood2016-06-03-16/+16
| | | | | | | This typedef serves no purpose other than causing confusion with struct nand_chip. Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <oss@buserror.net>
* sparse: Rename the file and headerMaxime Ripard2015-11-12-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | The Android sparse image format is currently supported through a file called aboot, which isn't really such a great name, since the sparse image format is only used for transferring data with fastboot. Rename the file and header to a file called "sparse", which also makes it consistent with the header defining the image structures. * fastboot: nand: Add pre erase and write hooksMaxime Ripard2015-11-12-0/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | Some devices might need to do some per-partition initialization (ECC/Randomizer settings change for example) before actually accessing it. Add some hooks before the write and erase operations to let the boards define what they need to do if needed. * fastboot: Implement NAND backendMaxime Ripard2015-11-12-0/+195
So far the fastboot code was only supporting MMC-backed devices for its flashing operations (flash and erase). Add a storage backend for NAND-backed devices. Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
