* sh: Add support do_bdinfo functionNobuhiro Iwamatsu2010-08-30-0/+19

* Make sure that argv[] argument pointers are not modified.Wolfgang Denk2010-07-04-8/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The hush shell dynamically allocates (and re-allocates) memory for the argument strings in the "char *argv[]" argument vector passed to commands. Any code that modifies these pointers will cause serious corruption of the malloc data structures and crash U-Boot, so make sure the compiler can check that no such modifications are being done by changing the code into "char * const argv[]". This modification is the result of debugging a strange crash caused after adding a new command, which used the following argument processing code which has been working perfectly fine in all Unix systems since version 6 - but not so in U-Boot: int main (int argc, char **argv) { while (--argc > 0 && **++argv == '-') { /* ====> */ while (*++*argv) { switch (**argv) { case 'd': debug++; break; ... default: usage (); } } } ... } The line marked "====>" will corrupt the malloc data structures and usually cause U-Boot to crash when the next command gets executed by the shell. With the modification, the compiler will prevent this with an error: increment of read-only location '*argv' N.B.: The code above can be trivially rewritten like this: while (--argc > 0 && **++argv == '-') { char *arg = *argv; while (*++arg) { switch (*arg) { ... * Fix #if chain and added AVR32 case in cmd_bdinfo.cReinhard Meyer2010-06-29-9/+35
| | | | | | | | | | | AVR32 case was missing in cmd_bdinfo, resulting in compiler warning (bd->bi_baudrate declared unsigned int at AVR32, but printf used %d) At the same time slightly reordered #if #elif #endif to make ARM one of the cases and not an extra case surrounding all others Signed-off-by: Reinhard Meyer <info@emk-elektronik.de> Tested-by: Andreas Bießmann <biessmann@corscience.de>
* nios: remove nios-32 archThomas Chou2010-05-28-19/+0
| | | | | | The nios-32 arch is obsolete and broken. So it is removed. Signed-off-by: Thomas Chou <thomas@wytron.com.tw>
* fix cmd_bdinfo.c:354: warning: 'print_eth' defined but not usedPhilippe De Muyter2010-03-24-2/+2
| | | | | | | This fixes the following warnings when running MAKEALL for coldfire : cmd_bdinfo.c:354: warning: 'print_eth' defined but not used Signed-off-by: Philippe De Muyter <phdm at macqel.be>
* PPC: Record U-Boot's relocated address in RAM and show in bdinfo.Richard Retanubun2010-03-11-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch uses gd->relocaddr variable to store uboot's relocated address in RAM and shows it in bdinfo command. This patch moves CONFIG_AMIGAONEG3SE style copying of the address in board_init_f to just before relocation is actually done. Signed-off-by: Richard Retanubun <RichardRetanubun@RuggedCom.com> Tested-by: Detlev Zundel <dzu@denx.de>
* General help message cleanupWolfgang Denk2009-06-12-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Many of the help messages were not really helpful; for example, many commands that take no arguments would not print a correct synopsis line, but "No additional help available." which is not exactly wrong, but not helpful either. Commit ``Make "usage" messages more helpful.'' changed this partially. But it also became clear that lots of "Usage" and "Help" messages (fields "usage" and "help" in struct cmd_tbl_s respective) were actually redundant. This patch cleans this up - for example: Before: => help dtt dtt - Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt - Read temperature from digital thermometer and thermostat. After: => help dtt dtt - Read temperature from Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>

* Change bd/gd memsize/ram_size to be phys_size_t.Becky Bruce2008-06-12-8/+16
| | | | | | | | | | Currently, both are defined as an unsigned long, but should be phys_size_t. This should result in no real change, since phys_size_t is currently an unsigned long for all the default configs. Also add print_lnum to cmd_bdinfo to deal with the potentially wider memsize. |/ | | | | | | | - Convert the CPM2 based functionality to use new CONFIG_CPM2 option rather than a myriad of CONFIG_MPC8560-like variants. Applies to MPC85xx and MPC8260 boards, includes stxgp3 and sbc8560. Eliminates the CONFIG_MPC8560 option entirely. Distributes the new CONFIG_CPM2 option to each 8260 board.
