This change allows supporting of e.g. fuel gauge, charger, MUIC (Micro USB Interface Circuit). Power related includes have been moved to ./include/power directory. This is a first of a series of patches - in the future "pmic" will be replaced with "power". Two important issues: 1. The PMIC needs to be initialized just after malloc is configured 2. * fsl_esdhc: Remove cache snooping for i.MXBenoît Thébaudeau2012-09-01-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The cache snooping feature of Freescale's eSDHC IP is not available on i.MX, so disable it globally for this architecture. This avoids setting no_snoop for all i.MX boards, and it prevents setting a reserved bit of a reserved register if fsl_esdhc_mmc_init() is used on i.MX, like in arch/arm/cpu/armv7/imx-common/cpu.c/cpu_mmc_init(). Since no_snoop was only used on i.MX, get rid of it BTW. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The framebuffer driver for MX5 is based on CONFIG_LCD. In the current implementation, there is a serious bug because the required memory is allocated before relocation, but the driver knows only later which is the resolution of the display. The patch switches the driver to CONFIG_VIDEO and the memory is allocated by the driver itself. We also need to switch the vision2 board code and config file in the same commit so that this commit will be bisectable. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When this define was introduced, the idea was to provide a soft migration path for ARM boards to get adapted to the new relocation support. However, other recent changes led to a different implementation (ELF relocation), where this no longer works. By now CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOC does not only not help any more, but it actually hurts because it obfuscates the actual code by sprinkling it with lots of dead and non-working debris.
