* 83xx/85xx/86xx: LBC register cleanupBecky Bruce2010-07-16-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently, 83xx, 86xx, and 85xx have a lot of duplicated code dedicated to defining and manipulating the LBC registers. Merge this into a single spot. To do this, we have to decide on a common name for the data structure that holds the lbc registers - it will now be known as fsl_lbc_t, and we adopt a common name for the immap layouts that include the lbc - this was previously known as either im_lbc or lbus; use the former. In addition, create accessors for the BR/OR regs that use in/out_be32 and use those instead of the mismash of access methods currently in play. I have done a successful ppc build all and tested a board or two from each processor family. * 83xx: Replace CONFIG_MPC83XX with CONFIG_MPC83xxPeter Tyser2009-06-12-1/+1

* Make Freescale local bus registers available for both 83xx and 85xx.Haiying Wang2008-10-29-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | - Rename lbus83xx_t to fsl_lbus_t and move it to asm/fsl_lbc.h so that it can be shared by both 83xx and 85xx - Remove lbus83xx_t and replace it with fsl_lbus_t in all 83xx boards files which use lbus83xx_t. - Move FMR, FIR, FCR, FPAR, LTESR from mpc83xx.h to asm/fsl_lbc.h so that 85xx can share them. * mpc83xx: spd_sdram: fix ddr sdram base address assignment bugAnton Vorontsov2008-09-24-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | The spd_dram code shifts the base address, then masks 20 bits, but forgets to shift the base address back. Fix this by just masking the base address correctly. Found this bug while trying to relocate a DDR memory at the base != 0. Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <avorontsov@ru.mvista.com> Signed-off-by: Kim Phillips <kim.phillips@freescale.com>
* Change initdram() return type to phys_size_tBecky Bruce2008-06-12-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch changes the return type of initdram() from long int to phys_size_t. This is required for a couple of reasons: long int limits the amount of dram to 2GB, and u-boot in general is moving over to phys_size_t to represent the size of physical memory. phys_size_t is defined as an unsigned long on almost all current platforms. This patch *only* changes the return type of the initdram function (in include/common.h, as well as in each board's implementation of initdram). It does not actually modify the code inside the function on any of the platforms; platforms which wish to support more than 2GB of DRAM will need to modify their initdram() function code. Build tested with MAKEALL for ppc, arm, mips, mips-el. Booted on powerpc MPC8641HPCN. Signed-off-by: Becky Bruce <becky.bruce@freescale.com>
* Remove erroneous or extra spd.h #includers.Jon Loeliger2008-03-05-4/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Many of the spd.h #includers don't need it, and wanted to have spd_sdram() declared instead. Since they didn't get that, some also had open coded extern declarations of it instead or as well. Fix it all up by using spd_sdram.h where needed. Signed-off-by: Jon Loeliger <jdl@freescale.com>

* sbc8349: migrate board to libfdtPaul Gortmaker2008-01-08-8/+10
| | | | | | | | | This adds libfdt support code for the Wind River sbc8349 board. Parallel of commit 3fde9e8b22cfbd7af489214758f9839a206576cb for the other Freescale 83xx boards. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
* sbc8349: Remove board specific ECC codePaul Gortmaker2008-01-08-327/+0
| | | | | | | ECC code is now shared for all 83xx boards, so remove board specific one. See commit daab8c67d2defef73dc26ab07f0c3afd1b05d019 for reference. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
* mpc83xx: implement board_add_ram_infoKim Phillips2007-08-16-4/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | add board_add_ram_info, to make memory diagnostic output more consistent. u-boot banner output now looks like: DRAM: 256 MB (DDR1, 64-bit, ECC on) and for boards with SDRAM on the local bus, a line such as this is added: SDRAM: 64 MB (local bus) also replaced some magic numbers with their equivalent define names. * mpc83xx: U-Boot support for Wind River SBC8349Paul Gortmaker2007-03-02-0/+585
I've redone the SBC8349 support to match git-current, which incorporates all the MPC834x updates from Freescale since the 1.1.6 release, including the DDR changes. I've kept all the SBC8349 files as parallel as possible to the MPC8349EMDS ones for ease of maintenance and to allow for easy inspection of what was changed to support this board. Hence the SBC8349 U-Boot has FDT support and everything else that the MPC8349EMDS has. Fortunately the Freescale updates added support for boards using CS0, but I had to change spd_sdram.c to allow for board specific settings for the sdram_clk_cntl (it is/was hard coded to zero, and that remains the default if the board doesn't specify a value.) Hopefully this should be mergeable as-is and require no whitespace cleanups or similar, but if something doesn't measure up then let me know and I'll fix it. Thanks, Paul.
