| | | | | | | | | | | | It is useful to be able to build SPL for sandbox. It provides additional build coverage and allows SPL features to be tested in sandbox. However it does not need worthwhile to always create an SPL build. It nearly doubles the build time and the feature is (so far) seldom used. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The 'lo' interface on Linux doesn't support thinks like ARP or link-layer access like we use to talk to a normal network interface. A higher-level network API must be used to access localhost. As written, this interface is limited to not supporting ICMP since the API doesn't allow the socket to be opened for all IP traffic and be able to receive at the same time. UDP is far more useful to test with, so it was selected over ICMP. Ping won't work, but things like TFTP should work. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We have switched to Kconfig and the boards.cfg file is going to be removed. We have to retrieve the board status and maintainers information from it. The MAINTAINERS format as in Linux Kernel would be nice because we can crib the scripts/get_maintainer.pl script. After some discussion, we chose to put a MAINTAINERS file under each board directory, not the top-level one because we want to collect relevant information for a board into a single place. TODO: Modify get_maintainer.pl to scan multiple MAINTAINERS files.
