* General help message cleanupWolfgang Denk2009-06-12-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Many of the help messages were not really helpful; for example, many commands that take no arguments would not print a correct synopsis line, but "No additional help available." which is not exactly wrong, but not helpful either. Commit ``Make "usage" messages more helpful.'' changed this partially. But it also became clear that lots of "Usage" and "Help" messages (fields "usage" and "help" in struct cmd_tbl_s respective) were actually redundant. This patch cleans this up - for example: Before: => help dtt dtt - Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt - Read temperature from digital thermometer and thermostat. After: => help dtt dtt - Read temperature from Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* 8xx: add support for new keymile kmsupx4 board.Heiko Schocher2009-03-18-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds support for the kmsupx4 board from Keymile, based on a Freescale MPC852T CPU - serial console on SMC1 - 32 MB SDRAM - 32 MB NOR Flash - Ethernet over SCC3 - I2C Bitbang Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
* 8xx, mgsuvd: rename board to a more generic nameHeiko Schocher2009-03-18-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | renaming the "mgsuvd" board port into "km8xx", because there come more similar boards from keymile. Compiling the mgsuvd board with "make mgsuvd_config" remains. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
* 83xx, kmeter1: add I2C, dtt, eeprom supportHeiko Schocher2009-03-05-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | This patch adds I2C support for the Keymile kmeter1 board. It uses the First I2C Controller from the CPU, for accessing 4 temperature sensors, an eeprom with IVM data and the booteeprom over a pca9547 mux. * Command usage cleanupPeter Tyser2009-01-28-2/+2
| | | | | | | | Remove command name from all command "usage" fields and update common/command.c to display "name - usage" instead of just "usage". Also remove newlines from command usage fields. Signed-off-by: Peter Tyser <ptyser@xes-inc.com>
* powerpc: keymile: Add a check for the PIGGY debug boardHeiko Schocher2009-01-24-2/+41
| | | | | | | | | Check the presence of the PIGGY on the keymile boards mgcoge, mgsuvd and kmeter1. If the PIGGY is not present, dont register this Ethernet device. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Acked-by: Ben Warren <biggerbadderben@gmail.com>
* keymile add the common parts of the HDLC driverGary Jennejohn2008-12-07-0/+749
| | | | | | | This implements the ICN protocol used across the backplane and is needed by all the keymile boards. Signed-off-by: Gary Jennejohn <garyj@denx.de>
* mgcoge, mgsuvd: extract more common codeHeiko Schocher2008-10-18-0/+26
| | | | | | | | in ft_blob_update () for both boards was an unneccessary repetition of code, which this patch moves in a common function for this boards. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>

* mgcoge, mgsuvd: added support for the IVM EEprom.Heiko Schocher2008-10-18-0/+287
| | | | | | | | The EEprom contains some Manufacturerinformation, which are read from u-boot at boot time, and saved in same hush shell variables. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
* mgcoge, mgsuvd: add board specific I2C deblocking mechanism.Heiko Schocher2008-10-18-0/+209
As documented in doc/I2C_Edge_Conditions, adding a board specific deblocking mechanism via CFG_I2C_INIT_BOARD for the mgcoge and mgsuvd board. This code was originally written by Keymile in association with Anatech and Atmel in 1998. The Code toggels the SCL until the SCA line goes to HIGH (max. 16 times). And after this, a start condition is sent. This is another approach to deblock the I2C Bus. The soft I2C driver actually sends 9 clocks with SDA High, and then a stop at the end, to deblock the I2C Bus. Maybe we should use the approach from Keymile as the new standard?
