* MX31: QONG: drop config.mkStefano Babic2011-06-21-3/+0
| | | | | | Remove obsolete config.mk from QONG board. Signed-off-by: Stefano Babic <sbabic@denx.de>
* IMX: MX31: Cleanup include files and drop nasty #ifdef in driversStefano Babic2011-04-27-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | As exception among the i.MX processors, the i.MX31 has headers without general names (mx31-regs.h, mx31.h instead of imx-regs.h and clock.h). This requires several nasty #ifdef in the drivers to include the correct header. The patch cleans up the driver and renames the header files as for the other i.MX processors. * Switch from archive libraries to partial linkingSebastien Carlier2010-11-17-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Before this commit, weak symbols were not overridden by non-weak symbols found in archive libraries when linking with recent versions of binutils. As stated in the System V ABI, "the link editor does not extract archive members to resolve undefined weak symbols". This commit changes all Makefiles to use partial linking (ld -r) instead of creating library archives, which forces all symbols to participate in linking, allowing non-weak symbols to override weak symbols as intended. This approach is also used by Linux, from which the gmake function cmd_link_o_target (defined in config.mk and used in all Makefiles) is inspired. The name of each former library archive is preserved except for extensions which change from ".a" to ".o". This commit updates references accordingly where needed, in particular in some linker scripts. This commit reveals board configurations that exclude some features but include source files that depend these disabled features in the build, resulting in undefined symbols. Known such cases include: - disabling CMD_NET but not CMD_NFS; - enabling CONFIG_OF_LIBFDT but not CONFIG_QE. Signed-off-by: Sebastien Carlier <sebastien.carlier@gmail.com>

* Makefile: move all Power Architecture boards into boards.cfgWolfgang Denk2010-10-18-23/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Clean up Makefile, and drop a lot of the config.mk files on the way. We now also automatically pick all boards that are listed in boards.cfg (and with all configurations), so we can drop the redundant entries from MAKEALL to avoid building these twice. * Rename TEXT_BASE into CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASEWolfgang Denk2010-10-18-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | The change is currently needed to be able to remove the board configuration scripting from the top level Makefile and replace it by a simple, table driven script. Moving this configuration setting into the "CONFIG_*" name space is also desirable because it is needed if we ever should move forward to a Kconfig driven configuration system. | * MX31: Add support to update FPGA bitstreamStefano Babic2010-10-13-3/+108
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The patch adds the possibility to update the QONG FPGA (a Lattice XP2-5E) with u-boot using some GPIOs to drive the JTAG interface. Signed-off-by: Stefano Babic <sbabic@denx.de>

| * Use common function to set GPIOs for MX3 and MX5Stefano Babic2010-09-29-14/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The patch adds support for setting gpios to the MX51 processor and change name to the corresponding functions for MX31. In this way, it is possible to get rid of nasty #ifdef switches related to the processor type. Signed-off-by: Stefano Babic <sbabic@denx.de>
* | fsl_diu_fb: further refactoring of FSL DIU codeAnatolij Gustschin2010-09-25-5/+0
|/ | | | | | | | Move common code to the fsl_diu_fb.c file and remove obsolete code from board files (aria, mpc8610hpcd and pdm360ng). Move fsl_diu_fb.h file to the include directory. Signed-off-by: Anatolij Gustschin <agust@denx.de>
* ARM: implement relocation for ARM11Heiko Schocher2010-09-19-42/+49
| | | | | | | | | | | | Change the implementation for ARM11 to relocate the code to an arbitrary address in RAM. Tested on the qong board. Portions of this work were supported by funding from the CE Linux Forum. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
* MX31: Add support for PMIC to the QONG moduleStefano Babic2010-05-05-0/+20

* MX31: Removed erroneous board name from QONGStefano Babic2010-04-30-1/+1

* MX31: Support 128MB RAM on QONG moduleStefano Babic2010-04-30-33/+97
| | | | | | | | | The QONG module can be downsized and delivered with 128MB instead of 256MB. The patch adds run time support for the two different memory configurations. Signed-off-by: Stefano Babic <sbabic@denx.de>
* MX31: Add support for NAND to QONG boardStefano Babic2010-04-30-23/+74
| | | | | | | | The NAND device is connected to the FPGA of the QONG board and not to the NFC controller. For this reason, the FPGA must be set and initialized before accessing to the NAND itself. Signed-off-by: Stefano Babic <sbabic@denx.de>
* 5xxx, fdt: move fdt_fixup_memory() to cpu.c fileHeiko Schocher2009-12-08-1/+0
| | | | | | | | u-boot updates, before starting Linux, the memory node in the DTS. As this is a "standard" feature, move this functionality to the cpu.c file for mpc5xxx and mpc512x processors. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
* mpc512x: Streamlined fixed_sdram() init sequence.Martha M Stan2009-09-25-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Signed-off-by: Martha M Stan <mmarx@silicontkx.com> Minor cleanup: Re-ordered default_mddrc_config[] to have matching indices. This allows to use the same index "N" for source and target fields; before, we had code like this out_be32(&im->mddrc.ddr_time_config2, mddrc_config[3]); which always looked like a copy & paste error because 2 != 3. Also, use NULL when meaning a null pointer. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>

* MPC512x: factor out common codeWolfgang Denk2009-07-14-120/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that we have 3 boards for the MPC512x it turns out that they all use the very same fixed_sdram() code. This patch factors out this common code into cpu/mpc512x/fixed_sdram.c and adds a new header file, include/asm-ppc/mpc512x.h, with some macros, inline functions and prototype definitions specific to MPC512x systems.
