* punt unused clean/distclean targetsMike Frysinger2011-10-15-6/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The top level Makefile does not do any recursion into subdirs when cleaning, so these clean/distclean targets in random arch/board dirs never get used. Punt them all. MAKEALL didn't report any errors related to this that I could see. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* Blackfin: post: generalize led/button tests with GPIOsMike Frysinger2011-09-29-1/+1
| | | | | | Make it easy for any Blackfin board to enable led/push button tests. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* Switch from archive libraries to partial linkingSebastien Carlier2010-11-17-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Before this commit, weak symbols were not overridden by non-weak symbols found in archive libraries when linking with recent versions of binutils. As stated in the System V ABI, "the link editor does not extract archive members to resolve undefined weak symbols". This commit changes all Makefiles to use partial linking (ld -r) instead of creating library archives, which forces all symbols to participate in linking, allowing non-weak symbols to override weak symbols as intended. This approach is also used by Linux, from which the gmake function cmd_link_o_target (defined in config.mk and used in all Makefiles) is inspired. The name of each former library archive is preserved except for extensions which change from ".a" to ".o". This commit updates references accordingly where needed, in particular in some linker scripts. This commit reveals board configurations that exclude some features but include source files that depend these disabled features in the build, resulting in undefined symbols. Known such cases include: - disabling CMD_NET but not CMD_NFS; - enabling CONFIG_OF_LIBFDT but not CONFIG_QE. Signed-off-by: Sebastien Carlier <sebastien.carlier@gmail.com>
* POST cleanup.Michael Zaidman2010-09-21-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Revives POST for blackfin arch; - Removes redundant code: arch/blackfin/lib/post.c arch/powerpc/cpu/ppc4xx/commproc.c arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc512x/common.c - fixes up the post_word_{load|store} usage. * Blackfin: unify custom gpio commandsMike Frysinger2010-07-05-1/+1
| | | | | | | Now that we have a unified gpio layer, the misc partial gpio commands can be unified and made complete (support all possible gpios). Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* Blackfin: bf537-stamp: drop old spi_flash driverMike Frysinger2010-07-05-1/+0
| | | | | | | | The new common spi framework and spi flash subsystem provides all the same functionality as the old Blackfin-specific driver, so punt the old one as it has been sticking around long enough. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* mtd: nand: new base driver for memory mapped nand devicesMike Frysinger2009-07-07-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | The BF537-STAMP Blackfin board had a driver for working with NAND devices that are simply memory mapped. Since there is nothing Blackfin specific about this, generalize the driver a bit so that everyone can leverage it. * Blackfin: unify u-boot linker scriptsMike Frysinger2009-06-14-4/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | All the Blackfin linker scripts were duplicated across the board dirs with no difference save from the semi-often used ENV_IS_EMBEDDED option. So unify all of them in the lib_blackfin/ dir and for the few boards that need to embedded the environment directly, add a LDS_BOARD_TEXT define for them to customize via their board config file. This is much simpler than forcing them to duplicate the rest of the linker script. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>

* Blackfin: fix out-of-tree building with ldscriptsMike Frysinger2009-01-07-4/+3
| | | | | | | Many of the Blackfin board linker scripts are preprocessed, so make sure we output the linker script into the build tree rather than the source tree. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>

* Blackfin: unify cpu and boot modesMike Frysinger2008-03-30-1/+1
| | | | | | | | All of the duplicated code for Blackfin processors and boot modes have been unified. After all, the core is the same for all processors, just the peripheral set differs (which gets handled in the drivers). Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* Blackfin: BF537-stamp: cleanup spi flash driverMike Frysinger2008-03-30-1/+1
| | | | | | | This punts the old spi flash driver for a new/generalized one until the common one can be integrated. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* net/Blackfin: move on-chip MAC driver into drivers/net/Mike Frysinger2008-03-25-1/+1
| | | | | | | | The Blackfin on-chip MAC driver was being managed in the BF537-STAMP board directory, but it is not board specific, so relocate it to the drivers dir so that other Blackfin ports can utilize it. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* Blackfin: BF537-stamp: drop board-specific flash driver for CFIMike Frysinger2008-03-15-1/+1
| | | | | | | The parallel flash on the BF537-STAMP is CFI compliant, so there is no need for the board specific driver at all. Just use the common CFI driver. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
