* bd_info: remove bi_barudrate member from struct bd_infoMasahiro Yamada2014-05-12-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | gd->bd->bi_baudrate is a copy of gd->baudrate. Since baudrate is a common feature for all architectures, keep gd->baudrate only. It is true that bi_baudrate was passed to the kernel in that structure but it was a long time ago. * powerpc: remove NX823 board supportMasahiro Yamada2014-04-18-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | Enough time has passed since this board was moved to Orphan. Remove. - Remove board/nx823/* - Remove include/configs/NX823.h - Clean-up ifdef(CONFIG_NX823) - Move the entry from boards.cfg to doc/README.scrapyard Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com>
* powerpc: mpc8260: consolidate CONFIG_MPC8260 and CONFIG_8260Masahiro Yamada2014-03-07-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Before this commit, CONFIG_MPC8260 and CONFIG_8260 were used mixed-up. All boards with mpc8260 cpu defined both of them: - CONFIG_MPC8260 was defined in board config headers and include/common.h - CONFIG_8260 was defined arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8260/config.mk We do not need to have both of them. This commit keeps only CONFIG_MPC8260. This commit does: - Delete CONFIG_8260 and CONFIG_MPC8260 definition in config headers and include/common.h - Rename CONFIG_8260 to CONFIG_MPC8260 in arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8260/config.mk. - Rename #ifdef CONFIG_8260 to #ifdef CONFIG_MPC8260 Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Cc: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* ppc4xx: Remove support for PPC405CR CPUsMatthias Fuchs2013-08-20-1/+0
| | | | | | | This patch removes support for the APM 405CR CPU. This CPU is EOL and no board uses this chip. Signed-off-by: Matthias Fuchs <matthias.fuchs@esd.eu>

* Power: remove support for Freescale MPC8220Wolfgang Denk2013-05-15-8/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The Freescale MPC8220 Power Architecture processors have long reached EOL; Freescale does not even list these any more on their web site. Remove the code to avoid wasting maitaining efforts on dead stuff. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Cc: Andy Fleming <afleming@gmail.com>
* ppc: Enable generic board supportSimon Glass2013-03-15-0/+7
| | | | | | | This enables generic board support so that ppc boards can define CONFIG_SYS_GENERIC_BOARD. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* powerpc: Change bi_baudrate and global data baudrate to intSimon Glass2012-10-19-1/+1
| | | | | | | These don't need to be longs, so change them. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
* powerpc: re-add bi_ip_addr to bd_t structAnatolij Gustschin2012-09-02-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit 50a47d0523e8efebe912bef539a77ffd42116451 (net: punt bd->bi_ip_addr) booting old 2.4.x ppc kernels is broken due to changed offsets of the fields in struct bd_t. Offsets of the fields after removed bi_ip_addr are wrong, causing wrong bus clocks and console baudrate configurations and various other issues. Re-add the bi_ip_addr field to preserve backward compatibility with older ppc kernels. Setting bi_ip_addr in board.c is not really needed, grepping in the 2.4 linux tree shows that bi_ip_addr is not accessed there. Adding bi_ip_addr to struct bd_t for other arches isn't needed it seems. bd_t is not used by other arches in the 2.4 linux tree. * net: punt bd->bi_ip_addrMike Frysinger2012-05-15-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | This field gets read in one place (by "bdinfo"), and we can replace that with getenv("ipaddr"). After all, the bi_ip_addr field is kept up-to-date implicitly with the value of the ipaddr env var. * image: push default arch values to arch headersMike Frysinger2011-10-05-0/+4

* Fix incorrect array size of phy settings for 405EXWeirich, Bernhard2011-09-19-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Change bd_t->bi_phy* arrays from 1 to 2 for PPC405EX since 405EX has 2 ethernet interfaces. Signed-off-by: Bernhard Weirich <bernhard.weirich@riedel.net> Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
* powerpc: Cleanup BOOTFLAG_* referencesPeter Tyser2010-10-18-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Now that warm booting is not supported, there isn't a need for the BOOTFLAG_COLD and BOOTFLAG_WARM defines, so remove them. Note that this change makes the board info bd_bootflags field useless. It will always be set to 0, but we leave it around so that we don't break the board info structure that some OSes are expecting to be passed from U-Boot. * Move arch/ppc to arch/powerpcStefan Roese2010-04-21-0/+146
As discussed on the list, move "arch/ppc" to "arch/powerpc" to better match the Linux directory structure. Please note that this patch also changes the "ppc" target in MAKEALL to "powerpc" to match this new infrastructure. But "ppc" is kept as an alias for now, to not break compatibility with scripts using this name.
