* kconfig: add CONFIG_SUPPORT_SPLMasahiro Yamada2014-10-27-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | CONFIG_SPL should not be enabled for boards that do not have SPL. CONFIG_SUPPORT_SPL introduced by this commit should be "select"ed by boards with SPL support and CONFIG_SPL should depend on it. Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* ppc: Zap Hymod boardMarek Vasut2014-10-27-11/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove this board as this is the only one last user of eeprom_probe(), which is pretty non-standard stuff. This patch also removes all the PHP, SQL and CSS stuff from U-Boot, which probably makes U-Boot a bit less IoT ;-) Signed-off-by: Marek Vasut <marex@denx.de> Cc: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Cc: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com> Cc: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Cc: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Cc: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
* powerpc: mpc83xx: remove board support for MERGERBOX and MVBLM7Masahiro Yamada2014-10-10-8/+0
| | | | | | These boards have been orphaned for more than 6 months. Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com>
* kconfig: remove redundant "string" type in arch and board KconfigsMasahiro Yamada2014-09-13-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now the types of CONFIG_SYS_{ARCH, CPU, SOC, VENDOR, BOARD, CONFIG_NAME} are specified in arch/Kconfig. We can delete the ones in arch and board Kconfig files. This commit can be easily reproduced by the following command: find . -name Kconfig -a ! -path ./arch/Kconfig | xargs sed -i -e ' /config[[:space:]]SYS_\(ARCH\|CPU\|SOC\|\VENDOR\|BOARD\|CONFIG_NAME\)/ { N s/\n[[:space:]]*string// } ' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com>
* powerpc: remove redundant CPU definitionMasahiro Yamada2014-07-30-1/+1

* kconfig: add board Kconfig and defconfig filesMasahiro Yamada2014-07-30-0/+100
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit adds: - arch/${ARCH}/Kconfig provide a menu to select target boards - board/${VENDOR}/${BOARD}/Kconfig or board/${BOARD}/Kconfig set CONFIG macros to the appropriate values for each board - configs/${TARGET_BOARD}_defconfig default setting of each board (This commit was automatically generated by a conversion script based on boards.cfg) In Linux Kernel, defconfig files are located under arch/${ARCH}/configs/ directory. It works in Linux Kernel since ARCH is always given from the command line for cross compile. But in U-Boot, ARCH is not given from the command line. Which means we cannot know ARCH until the board configuration is done. That is why all the "*_defconfig" files should be gathered into a single directory ./configs/. * powerpc/mpc8349: Use generic mpc85xx DDR driverYork Sun2013-12-04-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | MPC8349 has been using mpc85xx DDR driver through a symbolic link to mpc85xx_ddr_gen2.c. After consolidating the drivers to a single set under driver/ddr/fsl/, the link is replaced by referring driver directly. We now can simply enable the macro and use the driver. Other mpc83xx SoCs still use their own driver. Signed-off-by: York Sun <yorksun@freescale.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Note: arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8260/Makefile is originally like follows: ---<snip>--- START = start.o kgdb.o COBJS = traps.o serial_smc.o serial_scc.o cpu.o cpu_init.o speed.o \ ---<snip>--- COBJS-$(CONFIG_ETHER_ON_SCC) = ether_scc.o ---<snip>--- $(LIB): $(OBJS) $(call cmd_link_o_target, $(OBJS) $(obj)kgdb.o) The link rule `$(call cmd_link_o_target, $(OBJS) $(obj)kgdb.o)' is weird. kbdg.o is not included in $(OBJS) but linked into $(LIB) and $(LIB) is not dependent on kgdb.o. (Broken dependency tracking) So, START = start.o kgdb.o shoud have been START = start.o SOBJS = kgdb.o That is why this commit adds kgdb.o to obj-y, not to extra-y. |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | Note this is a tree-wide change affecting multiple architectures. At present we use __bss_start, but mostly __bss_end__. | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds arch support for PPC mpc83xx to boot "minimal" (4K) SPLs using the new infrastructure. * powerpc/mpc83xx: Migrate from spd_sdram to unified DDR driverYork Sun2011-09-29-6/+102
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Unified DDR driver is maintained for better performance, robustness and bug fixes. Upgrading to use unified DDR driver for MPC83xx takes advantage of overall improvement. It requires changes for board files to customize platform-dependent parameters. To utilize the unified DDR driver, a board needs to define CONFIG_FSL_DDRx in the header file. No more boards will be accepted without such definition. Note: the workaround for erratum DDR6 for the very old MPC834x Rev 1.0/1.1 and MPC8360 Rev 1.1/1.2 parts is not migrated to unified driver.
