* MIPS: board.c: move extern declarations to u-boot-mips.hDaniel Schwierzeck2012-06-03-7/+0
| | | | | | This fixes some remaining checkpatch.pl warnings. Signed-off-by: Daniel Schwierzeck <daniel.schwierzeck@googlemail.com>
* net: move bootfile init into eth_initializeMike Frysinger2012-05-15-8/+0
| | | | | | | | All arches init this the same way, so move the logic into the core net code to avoid duplicating it everywhere else. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org> Reviewed-by: Joe Hershberger <joe.hershberger@ni.com>
* net: punt bd->bi_ip_addrMike Frysinger2012-05-15-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | This field gets read in one place (by "bdinfo"), and we can replace that with getenv("ipaddr"). After all, the bi_ip_addr field is kept up-to-date implicitly with the value of the ipaddr env var. * MIPS: board.c: fix init of flash data in bd_infoDaniel Schwierzeck2012-04-02-2/+6
| | | | | | | | Boards with CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH should not forced to define CONFIG_SYS_FLASH_BASE. In this case the flash data in bd_info should be initialized with 0 like the other archs do. Signed-off-by: Daniel Schwierzeck <daniel.schwierzeck@googlemail.com>
* arch/mips/lib/board.c: Fix GCC 4.6 build warningWolfgang Denk2011-12-08-4/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | Fix: board.c: In function 'board_init_r': board.c:262:8: warning: unused variable 's' [-Wunused-variable] (raised for configurations without ethernet support like vct_premium_small) Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Cc: Shinya Kuribayashi <skuribay@ruby.dti.ne.jp>
* arch/mips/lib/board.c: make (mostly) checkpatch cleanWolfgang Denk2011-12-08-64/+60
| | | | | | | | Fix all errors and all warnings except for "externs should be avoided" which could require more extensive changes. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Cc: Shinya Kuribayashi <skuribay@ruby.dti.ne.jp>
* mips: Use getenv_ulong() in place of getenv(), strtoulSimon Glass2011-10-23-11/+3
| | | | | | This changes the board code to use the new getenv_ulong() function. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* net: drop !NET_MULTI codeMike Frysinger2011-10-05-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | This is long over due. All but two net drivers have been converted, but those have now been dropped. The only thing left to do is actually delete all references to NET_MULTI and code that is compiled when that is not defined. So here we scrub the core code. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* unify version_stringAndreas Bießmann2011-07-28-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes the architecture specific implementation of version_string where possible. Some architectures use a special place and therefore we provide U_BOOT_VERSION_STRING definition and a common weak symbol version_string. * MIPS: Purple: Remove Purple supportDaniel Schwierzeck2011-04-02-10/+0
| | | | | | | | The Purple SoC and eval board are not actively maintained since years. This patch removes the support completely as aggreed with Wolfgang Denk. Signed-off-by: Daniel Schwierzeck <daniel.schwierzeck@googlemail.com> Cc: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Shinya Kuribayashi <skuribay@pobox.com>
* Replace CONFIG_RELOC_FIXUP_WORKS by CONFIG_NEEDS_MANUAL_RELOCWolfgang Denk2010-10-29-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | By now, the majority of architectures have working relocation support, so the few remaining architectures have become exceptions. To make this more obvious, we make working relocation now the default case, and flag the remaining cases with CONFIG_NEEDS_MANUAL_RELOC. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Tested-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Tested-by: Reinhard Meyer <u-boot@emk-elektronik.de>
* board_init_r: Removed unused cmdtp variableRichard Retanubun2010-10-19-1/+0
| | | | | Follow up to commit 620f1f6a64095ed558e68d37f1965d015cd49b02 removed compiler warning for (now) unused cmd_tbl_t* cmdtp
* common: move TOTAL_MALLOC_LEN to include/common.hHeiko Schocher2010-09-19-8/+0
| | | | | | | Portions of this work were supported by funding from the CE Linux Forum. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
* relocation: fixup cmdtableHeiko Schocher2010-09-19-24/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | fixup_cmdtable() did all work for fixing up the cmdtable, if CONFIG_RELOC_FIXUP_WORKS is not defined. CONFIG_RELOC_FIXUP_WORKS is missing for i386! I talked with Graeme Russ, and he will fix this soon. Portions of this work were supported by funding from the CE Linux Forum. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
* Rename getenv_r() into getenv_f()Wolfgang Denk2010-08-04-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | While running from flash, i. e. before relocation, we have only a limited C runtime environment without writable data segment. In this phase, some configurations (for example with environment in EEPROM) must not use the normal getenv(), but a special function. This function had been called getenv_r(), with the idea that the "_r" suffix would mean the same as in the _r_eentrant versions of some of the C library functions (for example getdate vs. getdate_r, getgrent vs. getgrent_r, etc.). Unfortunately this was a misleading name, as in U-Boot the "_r" generally means "running from RAM", i. e. _after_ relocation. To avoid confusion, rename into getenv_f() [as "running from flash"] Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Acked-by: Detlev Zundel <dzu@denx.de>
* Move lib_$ARCH directories to arch/$ARCH/libPeter Tyser2010-04-13-0/+436
Also move lib_$ARCH/config.mk to arch/$ARCH/config.mk This change is intended to clean up the top-level directory structure and more closely mimic Linux's directory organization. Signed-off-by: Peter Tyser <ptyser@xes-inc.com>
