* avr32: use generic gd->start_addr_spAndreas Bießmann2015-02-17-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Before avr32 had an extra storage for stack end to have a nice stack printout on exception. Remove this extra storage and use generic gd->start_addr_sp instead. Signed-off-by: Andreas Bießmann <andreas.devel@googlemail.com>

* avr32: factor out cpu_mmc_init()Andreas Bießmann2015-02-17-8/+0
| | | | | | | | cpu_mmc_init() is required by the init sequence to have a working MMC interface on avr32. This will not be included in the binary if we omit the avr32 board.c when building the generic board. Signed-off-by: Andreas Bießmann <andreas.devel@googlemail.com>

* avr32: migrate cache functionsAndreas Bießmann2014-06-14-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | Unfortunately the avr32 cache implementation has another API than the one described in common.h. * bd_info: remove bi_barudrate member from struct bd_infoMasahiro Yamada2014-05-12-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | gd->bd->bi_baudrate is a copy of gd->baudrate. Since baudrate is a common feature for all architectures, keep gd->baudrate only. It is true that bi_baudrate was passed to the kernel in that structure but it was a long time ago. * avr32: fix relocation address calculationAndreas Bießmann2013-05-13-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | Commit 1865286466a5d0c7f2e3c37632da56556c838e9e (Introduce generic link section.h symbol files) changed the __bss_end symbol type from char[] to ulong. This led to wrong relocation parameters which ended up in a not working u-boot. Unfortunately this is not clear to see cause due to RAM aliasing we may get a 'half-working' u-boot then. Fix this by dereferencing the __bss_end symbol where needed. Signed-off-by: Andreas Bießmann <andreas.devel@googlemail.com>

* Introduce generic link section.h symbol filesSimon Glass2013-03-15-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We create a separate header file for link symbols defined by the link scripts. It is helpful to have these all in one place and try to make them common across architectures. Since Linux already has a similar file, we bring this in even though many of the symbols there are not relevant to us. Each architecture has its own asm/sections.h where symbols specifc to that architecture can be added. For now everything except AVR32 just includes the generic header. One change is needed in arch/avr32/lib/board.c to make this conversion work. Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com> (version 5) Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* Replace __bss_end__ with __bss_endSimon Glass2013-03-15-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Note this is a tree-wide change affecting multiple architectures. At present we use __bss_start, but mostly __bss_end__. This seems inconsistent and in a number of places __bss_end is used instead. Change to use __bss_end for the BSS end symbol throughout U-Boot. This makes it possible to use the asm-generic/sections.h file on all archs. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* malloc: make malloc_bin_reloc staticGabor Juhos2013-02-19-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On architectures where manual relocation is needed, the 'malloc_bin_reloc' function must be called after 'mem_malloc_init'. Make the 'malloc_bin_reloc' function static and call it directly from 'mem_malloc_init' instead of calling that from board_init_{r,f} functions of the affected architectures. * common: Convert the U-Boot commands to LG-arraysMarek Vasut2012-10-22-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch converts the old method of creating a list of command onto the new LG-arrays code. The old u_boot_cmd section is converted to new u_boot_list_cmd subsection and LG-array macros used as needed. Minor adjustments had to be made to the common code to work with the LG-array macros, mostly the fixup_cmdtable() calls are now passed the ll_entry_start and ll_entry_count instead of linker-generated symbols. The command.c had to be adjusted as well so it would use the newly introduced LG-array API instead of directly using linker-generated symbols. * avr32: Add simple paging supportHaavard Skinnemoen2010-09-03-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Use the MMU hardware to set up 1:1 mappings between physical and virtual addresses. This allows us to bypass the cache when accessing the flash without having to do any physical-to-virtual address mapping in the CFI driver. The virtual memory mappings are defined at compile time through a sorted array of virtual memory range objects. When a TLB miss exception happens, the exception handler does a binary search through the array until it finds a matching entry and loads it into the TLB. The u-boot image itself is covered by a fixed TLB entry which is never replaced. This makes the 'saveenv' command work again on ATNGW100 and other boards using the CFI driver, hopefully without breaking any rules. Signed-off-by: Haavard Skinnemoen <haavard.skinnemoen@atmel.com>
* Rename getenv_r() into getenv_f()Wolfgang Denk2010-08-04-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | While running from flash, i. e. before relocation, we have only a limited C runtime environment without writable data segment. In this phase, some configurations (for example with environment in EEPROM) must not use the normal getenv(), but a special function. This function had been called getenv_r(), with the idea that the "_r" suffix would mean the same as in the _r_eentrant versions of some of the C library functions (for example getdate vs. getdate_r, getgrent vs. getgrent_r, etc.). Unfortunately this was a misleading name, as in U-Boot the "_r" generally means "running from RAM", i. e. _after_ relocation. To avoid confusion, rename into getenv_f() [as "running from flash"] Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Acked-by: Detlev Zundel <dzu@denx.de>
