* treewide: move CONFIG_PHYS_64BIT to KconfigMasahiro Yamada2016-08-05-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We need to ensure that CONFIG_PHYS_64BIT is configured via Kconfig so that it is always available to the build system. Otherwise we can run into cases where we have inconsistent sizes of certain attributes. Ravi Babu reported offset mismatch of struct dwc3 across files since commit 95ebc253e6d4 ("types.h: move and redefine resource_size_t"). Since the commit, resource_addr_t points to phys_addr_t, whose size is dependent on CONFIG_PHYS_64BIT for ARM architecture. I tried my best to use "select" where possible (for example, ARMv8 architecture) because I think this kind of option is generally user- unconfigurable. However, I see some of PowerPC boards have 36BIT defconfigs as well as 32BIT ones. I moved CONFIG_PHYS_64BIT to the defconfigs for such boards. CONFIG_36BIT is no longer referenced, so all of the defines were removed from CONFIG_SYS_EXTRA_OPTIONS. * armv8/fsl_lsch3: Change arch to fsl-layerscapeMingkai Hu2015-10-29-5/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | There are two LS series processors are built on ARMv8 Layersacpe architecture currently, LS2085A and LS1043A. They are based on ARMv8 core although use different chassis, so create fsl-layerscape to refactor the common code for the LS series processors which also paves the way for adding LS1043A platform. * arm: pxa: use common timer functionsAndrew Ruder2015-08-24-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch moves pxa to the common timer functions added in commit 8dfafdd - Introduce common timer functions <Rob Herring> The (removed) pxa timer code (specifically __udelay()) could deadlock at the 32-bit boundary of get_ticks(). get_ticks() returned a 32-bit value cast up to a 64-bit value. If get_ticks() + tmo in __udelay() crossed the 32-bit boundary, the while condition became unconditionally true and locked the processor. Rather than patch the specific pxa issues, simply move everything over to the common code. * arm: ls102xa: Add Freescale LS102xA SoC supportWang Huan2014-09-08-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The QorIQ LS1 family is built on Layerscape architecture, the industry's first software-aware, core-agnostic networking architecture to offer unprecedented efficiency and scale. Freescale LS102xA is a set of SoCs combines two ARM Cortex-A7 cores that have been optimized for high reliability and pack the highest level of integration available for sub-3 W embedded communications processors with Layerscape architecture and with a comprehensive enablement model focused on ease of programmability. * arm: Set up global data before board_init_f()Simon Glass2014-08-04-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | At present arm defines CONFIG_SYS_GENERIC_GLOBAL_DATA, meaning that the global_data pointer is set up in board_init_f(). However it is actually set up before this, it just isn't zeroed. If we zero the global data before calling board_init_f() then we don't need to define CONFIG_SYS_GENERIC_GLOBAL_DATA. Make this change (on arm32 only) to simplify the init process. I don't have the ability to test aarch64 yet. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Acked-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
* ARMv8/FSL_LSCH3: Add FSL_LSCH3 SoCYork Sun2014-07-03-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Freescale LayerScape with Chassis Generation 3 is a set of SoCs with ARMv8 cores and 3rd generation of Chassis. We use different MMU setup to support memory map and cache attribute for these SoCs. MMU and cache are enabled very early to bootst performance, especially for early development on emulators. After u-boot relocates to DDR, a new MMU table with QBMan cache access is created in DDR. SMMU pagesize is set in SMMU_sACR register. Both DDR3 and DDR4 are supported. * common/board_f: Initialized global data for generic boardYork Sun2014-05-12-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Some platforms (tested on mpc85xx, mpc86xx) use global data before calling function baord_inti_f(). The data should not be cleared later. Any arch which uses global data in generic board board_init_f() should define CONFIG_SYS_GENERIC_GLOBAL_DATA. * ARM: add relocation supportHeiko Schocher2010-09-19-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | !! This breaks support for all arm boards !! To compile in old style, you must define CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOC or you can compile with "CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOC=1 ./MAKEALL board" !! This define will be removed soon, so convert your board to use relocation support Portions of this work were supported by funding from the CE Linux Forum.
